An epic coastal classic
Experience the magic of the Gold Coast on a course that captures everything we love about the sunshine state. You’ll traverse golden beaches, pass iconic lifeguard towers and surf breaks, and weave through sparkling inland waterways; all under the warmth of the winter sun, with the Surfers Paradise skyline as your backdrop. With a mix of ocean swims, gentle creek crossings, cruizy beach runs, and scenic boardwalks, the course strikes the perfect balance between challenge and enjoyment.
Whether you race solo or with a teammate, the atmosphere is electric; full of shared effort, encouragement, and unforgettable moments. This is more than just a race; it’s an experience that leaves you feeling energised, inspired, and deeply connected to the coastline. Expect salty skin, a full heart, and memories that last long after the finish line.
Big news for Enduro teams: this event is also the 2025 Australian Swimrun Championship. So if you're ready to go long, go hard, and go all in, this is your shot to be part of something epic.

Getting yourself back to the start
If you leave a vehicle at the start, it is your responsibility to return to it.

When nature calls the shots
Swimrun is about embracing the elements; but sometimes, the elements have other plans. While we always aim to deliver the full course as intended, safety is our top priority.
Occasionally, that means adjusting the course or making the tough call to cancel. Here’s how we handle those situations, and what it means for your entry.
Course Changes
For safety or other reasons, the course may be adjusted before or during the event.
If any swim legs are deemed unsafe, one or more may be removed. In rare cases, a fully run-only course may be introduced if swimming poses too great a risk.
If the course is modified, your entry fee remains non-refundable, as the event is still being delivered in an alternate, safe format.
⸻
Weather-Related Cancellation
If the event is cancelled due to severe weather, dangerous conditions, or other circumstances outside of our control (as outlined in Section 9.2 of the Event Rules), entry fees will also be non-refundable.
This includes cases where local authorities, landowners, or emergency services determine the event cannot go ahead due to safety or weather impacts.
⸻
We always aim to deliver the best possible event, but safety and environmental responsibility come first. Thanks for your understanding, and for rolling with the elements, just like a true swimrunner.
Volunteer & Join the fun (for free!)
Be part of the magic behind the scenes as a volunteer on our event crew.
You’ll score some sweet merchandise and, if the salty smiles and soft sand grit inspire you, we’ll gift you a free solo entry to a future Swimrun Australia event.
Sound good? Add your name to our volunteer list and we’ll be in touch with the details.
Once you’ve entered, we’ll send you an Athlete Guide with everything you need to know to get ready for your swimrun adventure.
