Swim, run, laugh, repeat – this is your tropical crew getaway.
Jump aboard the legendary Solway Lass and explore the Whitsundays with a crew of like-minded legends. Each day, over five days, we’ll hit the water and trails for a new swimrun mission – linking wild island tracks with crystal-clear ocean swims. It’s salty, scenic, and just the right amount of wild.
When we’re not out swimrunning, we’re snorkelling, paddleboarding, soaking in the sun, or hanging out on deck with a cold drink and big laughs. It’s not an event, and there’s no pressure – just feel-good sessions, a flexible pace, and a whole lot of fun along the way.
Whether you live for swimrun or just love everything it’s about – movement, nature, and community – this is your chance to share the stoke and live the barefoot boat life with your new trailmates.

Five days. One tallship. Daily swimrun adventures through island paradise.

Day 1.
Welcome aboard
Join us in Airlie Beach to meet your crew and fellow salty souls. After settling into your cabin on Solway Lass, we’ll set sail into the Whitsundays and ease into the week with a cocktail and sunset vibes.
Day 2.
Trails, tides, and turquoise swims
Start the day with a feel-good swimrun linking island trails and hidden beaches. After breakfast, snorkel, paddle, or chill on deck before an afternoon open water swim in a new dreamy spot.

Day 3.
Coastlines and climbs
Start the day with a longer island trail run – scenic, steady, and full of views. After lunch and downtime onboard, we’ll head out for an afternoon swimrun with beach breaks and optional add-ons for those keen to go further.
Day 4.
The Whitehaven moment
Spend a full day in paradise. Start with a morning swimrun along the shoreline and trails, followed by a midday ocean swim in glassy blue water. Later, take on a barefoot beach run and wander up to Hill Inlet for that iconic view. We’ll wrap it all with sunset drinks on the sand before heading back to the ship under starlight.

Day 5.
The goodbye island loop
Begin the day with a morning trail run through one last island track, then cool off with a final ocean swim to seal the memory. After breakfast and a moment to soak it all in, we’ll sail back to Airlie Beach with full hearts and salty smiles.
Why do this tour?
Because your soul needs a week like this.
Wake up on a tallship surrounded by turquoise water, pull on your shoes and goggles, and move through nature with purpose. This is the kind of tour that reminds you why you fell in love with swimrun in the first place.
It’s not about pace or podiums – it’s about presence. Salty skin, tropical trails, swims that roll into runs, and moments that stay with you. You’ll share the journey with a crew that gets it, in a place that’s made to be moved through.
Reconnect with the reason you love swimrun
Step away from the structure, the splits, and the events. This is swimrun in its purest form – free-flowing, scenic, and soul-refreshing.
Boost your fitness, without it feeling like training
Daily swimruns, trail runs, and open water swims give you movement variety, volume, and confidence – without the grind. You’ll get stronger without even thinking about it.
Take time out, without slowing down
This is an active escape that recharges you. You’ll explore, move, and challenge yourself – then kick back on deck, snooze in the bow net, and share sunset drinks with a solid crew.
Build connection, not competition
Swimrun is better with mates. This tour is all about shared experience, trail banter, and salty laughs – because the real reward isn’t a medal, it’s the memories.
One price, heaps included.

The essentials
When do you confirm the tour is going ahead?
We’ll give the green light 90 days before departure or as soon as minimum numbers are reached – whichever comes first.
In six years, OceanFit haven’t had to cancel a tour, so you can feel confident locking in your spot.
What is your policy with tour withdrawals or transfers?
Your 20% deposit per person is non-refundable.
You can transfer to another Swimrun Australia or OceanFit tour, that is already scheduled, up to 90 days before the departure of your originally purchased tour.
You cannot hold your booking to be transferred to a future tour that is not already scheduled and taking bookings (i.e. you cannot transfer to a tour the following year).
What is the minimum age to take part in the tour?
The minimum age for this tour is 18 years.
Can I charter my own tour with friends?
You can book your own charter for a minimum of 18 guests (max 24) and fill it with whoever you like, adults and kids! The itinerary can be adapted to meet your needs.
Ask us about the dates we have available.
Where do I fly into and when do I need to be there?
The airport you will need to fly into is Proserpine/Whitsunday Coast Airport (PPP), and Virgin and Jetstar fly here. Your return airport transfer to/from Airlie Beach is included in your tour package.
Flights need to arrive by 2:30 pm at the latest on the day of departure (day 1), and shouldn’t be booked earlier than 1.30 pm on the day final day (day 5).
Airport transfers from the airport to the marina or your accommodation, and back, are included.
If you’re arriving earlier, and/or staying later, you will need to organise your own travel between your accommodation and the marina.
Do I need to take out travel insurance?
We recommend travel insurance to protect against loss of valuables, illness (including COVID-19), late cancellations or failure to meet departure.
For Covid-19 cover, it is important that you secure your cover early (>21-days before the start of your trip) in order to take advantage of most insurance companies’ COVID-19 cover.
What type of accommodation is it?
Accommodation for all four nights is aboard the tall ship ‘Solway Lass’.
There are nine basic air-conditioned cabins onboard, featuring a mixture of shared bunk rooms (singles), private doubles, and private doubles with en-suite facilities available.
The clean, but rustic windowless sleeping cabins are befitting a 125-year-old tall ship, and you will likely be taken aback initially by the small size and limited standing and storage room.
Don’t worry, the cabins are primarily designed for sleeping only.

What meals are provided?
Dinner on the first night, three meals on day 2, 3 & 4, and breakfast on the final morning. There are also snacks available, and coffee, tea and tap water. All meals are freshly prepared onboard buffet-style. Most dietary needs can be catered for with advanced notice.
A standard day’s meals include a light early breakfast, hot (post-swim brunch), light lunch, evening snack, dinner and dessert.
I have special dietary requirements, can you accommodate me?
Yes. The following diets can be accommodated: lactose-free, gluten intolerance, nut/fish allergies, vegetarian, and vegan diets. You will be asked for your dietary requirements before the tour.
What running and swimming ability is needed on the tour?
To get the most out of the tour, you’ll want to be comfortable swimming 1km freestyle non-stop and running up to 10km. The swims take place in flat, shallow water, and the runs are mostly scenic trails with a few hills thrown in.
Speed doesn’t matter; everyone moves at their own pace, and there’s plenty of support to help you get the most from every session.
Can my friend/partner join me if they don't want to do the swims?
Yes! We welcome friends/partners to join swimmers at a ratio of one ‘non-athlete’ guest to one ‘athlete’ guest. Friends/partners can participate in all the supplementary activities, and we can find a way to get them involved in the sporting adventures.
Will I be safe in the water?
Absolutely! We will have two support inflatable boats in the water, and swimmers will swim in clear water between the shore and the line of support boats.
We have a comprehensive water safety plan for all swims.
A support boat may not always be within talking distance, but they will always be watching out for you.
Swimmers can exit the water at any stage during a swim by raising their hand.
Once you’ve booked, we’ll send you an Information Guide with everything you need to know to get ready for your swimrun adventure.
