Swimrun Australia

Swimrun isn’t about going the fastest; it’s about finding your rhythm, sharing the journey, and experiencing nature one step (and stroke) at a time. Whether you’re here for fun, fitness, or the full adventure, we’ve got a distance to match your vibe.

Stroke ‘N Stride

Distance: 1-4km | Format: Solo

Perfect for curious first-timers, little legends, and adventurous families.

Our Stroke ‘N Stride format is a short, fun introduction to the swimrun way of life. Think of it as a run–swim–run (or even just a splash and dash), with only a few legs over a very manageable distance.

You can go barefoot, bring zero gear, and just enjoy the feel of moving through nature. Simple. Joyful. Low-fuss.

Swimrun Discovery

Distance: 5-9km | Format: Solo

Keen to try swimrun properly? Discovery is your entry point into the world of swimrun adventures.

It’s a short-format course that lets you push the pace – or keep it cruisy – while learning how it all flows together. The scenery’s always a highlight, and the atmosphere is easygoing and inclusive.

This one’s just for solos, but it’s even better with a crew of mates by your side (even if you’re not sharing the same vest number).

Swimrun Experience

Distance: 10-14km | Format: Solo & Team

Ready for a bit more distance and variety? Experience brings the classic swimrun vibe to life.

It’s a sweet spot for those building confidence or coming back for more, with enough trail, tide, and teamwork (if you’re teaming up) to leave you feeling accomplished.

Solo or team – your call. And if you’re eyeing off the longer event formats down the track, this one’s ideal for practising pacing, transitions, and team dynamics.

Swimrun Enduro

Distance: 15-24km | Format: Solo & Team

Our biggest day out.

Enduro is the ultimate swimrun journey: longer trails, more swims (up to 3–4km total), and a true connection with the course and your surroundings.

It’s a shared experience at heart, which is why we recommend tackling it as a team. You’ll support each other, push each other, and celebrate the finish line together.

Enduro is the format used for our Championship events, and if you’re chasing points in the Swimrun Australia Series, you’ll need to be in a team to qualify.

Still not sure?

Start where you feel comfortable and grow from there. Every distance offers something special, and the best part is—you’re never out there alone.
