*A Triathlon Australia One Day Licence is required if the participant is not a member of Triathlon Australia. This fee provides Public Liability and Personal Accident Cover to the holder.

Individual Entry
Individual entries are available in the sprint and short course.
Team Entry
Team entries are available in the Short Course. There are male, female and mixed (one male, one female) categories.
Entry Details Required
For team entries, one team member (the captain) will be responsible for entering on behalf of both members. In order to do this, the captain will need to collect the following information from their partner before starting the entry process.
The captain will also be accepting the Terms & Conditions and signing the Waiver on behalf of their partner, so permission should be obtained first (these can be read here).
Entry Period
Entries will close at 5 pm on Sunday, 15 November (unless sold out prior).
Waiting List
Should capacity be reached before entries close, a waitlist will be opened. If a new spot becomes available, the next person on the waitlist will be contacted and given 24 hours to enter.
Entry Changes
Teams can change one team member or make one race category change up to 8 pm on the 12th of November 2023 (sign in to change via green Change/Modify Entry button). The administration fee for changes is $20.
Individual entries cannot be changed or transferred to another person.
Minimum Age Determination
Age determination for the minimum age for entry for all races and for age category assignment is determined by the athlete’s age on December 31st during the Triathlon Australia season which runs from 1 July to 30 June.
For this event, the date for determining an athlete’s age is 31 December 2023.

Pre-requisites
Must be able to swim 800 metres in open water in one go.
Needs to be an experienced swimmer and runner and understand the length and difficulty of the race course. The athlete also needs to be aware that the weather conditions on the race day can be very harsh which could make the race even more physically and mentally demanding.

Swimrun is unique in that you carry with you, and swim and run with all the gear you start with.
Compulsory items include a swimsuit, shoes, swim cap*, vest*^ and whistle.
Optional items include a wetsuit, goggles, pull buoy, hand paddles, and nutrition.
Prohibited items include swim fins, motorised aids, and backpacks.

Athlete & Gear Logistics
As this event has point-to-point courses, there are some logistics to be managed.
Getting yourself to the start
It is the athlete’s responsibility to get themselves to the start at either Currumbin or Tallebudgera. We suggest you get dropped off or that you take an Uber/Taxi as there is limited parking at these locations.
Getting your gear from the start to the finish
Swimrun Australia will transport your gear from the start to the finish.
Getting yourself back to the start
If you have left a vehicle at the start, it is your responsibility to get yourself back to the start.
More details on logistics will be provided in the Athlete Guide closer to the event.
After entering, teams can change one team member and make one race category change up to 12 November 2023.

Choose from two grand course distances that will challenge every competitor (in a good way). Long beach runs are at the heart of both the sprint and short courses, with ocean swims and creek swims spread out to refresh and revitalise you.
The sprint course takes teams from Tallebudgera Beach to Miami. The course covers 5.5km with 1.3km of swimming over 3 legs and 4.2km of running over 4 legs.
The short course takes competitors from Currumbin to Miami. The course covers 12.5km with 2.2km of swimming over 5 legs and 10.3km of running over 6 legs.
