Keep an eye on the clock

This course includes timed checkpoints to help us manage water safety and keep the event flowing smoothly.

If you don’t reach Checkpoint #3 before the designated cut-off time, you will be directed to complete the final stages via Victoria Street (the final section of the Experience course).

This ensures our water safety teams can reposition along the course and focus their support where it’s needed most.

To stay on track, aim to complete the course in 3 hours and 45 minutes, maintaining approximately:

2 minutes per 100m in the water
8 minutes per kilometre on the run

These are steady, achievable paces; just keep things consistent and enjoy the journey.
